Welcome to AS Archery.  We aim to provide archery for everyone.

COVID-19 – Due to COVID restrictions in our venues we can not offer any archery at the moment.  As soon as we are able to we will once again be offering events.

If you are interested in booking events in the future please send us a note from our contact page.  We will be in touch when we are able to run events again.

We mainly provide target archery training, instruction and come and try events for people wishing to start archery or just try the sport.

We also provide basic coaching for Archers.

We can organise Clout and Field shoots as well as Target archery.

We provide fun shoots that will require less space for parties and groups.  Please contact us for details.

Simple Safety Rules for Safe Archery

• Always wear comfortable close fitting but not tight clothes to shoot.
• Wear clothes without strings or pockets that could catch a string.
• Take off necklaces, earrings, piercings and badges/broaches before shooting.
• Fasten jackets/tops and pull down your sleeves.  We don’t want clothes catching on strings.
• Wear flat, closed shoes to protect your feet.  High heels are not a good idea!
• DO NOT run on the range.
• NEVER shoot up in the air – you don’t know where the arrow will go.
• NEVER cross the shooting line until you are told it is safe to do so (TWO whistles)
• NEVER point an arrow anywhere but at the target.
• DO NOT put an arrow in a bow until told it is safe to do so (ONE Whistle)
• DO NOT draw (pull) a bow unless there is an arrow in it.
• DO NOT draw a bow unless on the shooting line and you have heard it is OK to shoot.
• Please don’t talk to people who are shooting, they need to concentrate.
• Please take care on a shooting range and make sure you do not stand on any of the equipment.
• When waiting for your turn, stand behind the waiting line.
• IF in doubt ask a coach!

AS Archery is new but our Coaches have been providing coaching for the past 15 years and want to allow everyone to at least try archery.

We enjoy all forms of archery and our passion is introducing people to our sport.  We have been shooting various bow styles and forms of archery for over 20 years.

When we run an event for you we will always measure the field and only run the event if the space we are going to use meets governing body guidelines.

Although we want our sport to be fun we do make sure above all everyone taking part is safe.

We are keen to provide sessions to everyone.
