For basic come and try archery the range must be 110 meters long by 45 meters wide at the minimum.
This is a big area but a missed arrow can go a long way.
Our target arrows may not necessarily have a sharp point and the bows we use are not necessarily powerful but an arrow is very likely to hurt!
We use a boss made from packaging waste that is very effective at stopping arrows and reasonably light. This we put on the ground so when trying the arrows only go down.
We prefer the field to have access from only one end to prevent people walking across the shooting area.
We insist that the 110 meters is controlled by one land owner.
